What a wild ride for our small town and our Gunter Tigers. Rolling through Div 1 pre-season opponents, then district, then the playoffs… all the way to AT&T Texas Stadium for the Class 3A – Div II Championship vs Boling.
The size of the AT&T Stadium and playing in our first ever state title game didn’t seem to faze our 16-0 Gunter athletes as the Tigers rolled past the 13-3 Boling Bulldogs 43-7 in the 3A Division II State Championship game in front of a record breaking crowd of 18,812.
