Celebrate the 4th in Gunter

Make plans to come celebrate our independence at the 2016 Gunter’s Star Spangled Jamboree for a fun filled evening. We will start the celebration off with a bike and wagon parade in honor of our Veterans. Enjoy BBQ and Pie competition, LIVE music and games. End the night with a HUGE Fireworks display.

Sunday, July 3 2016 at 4 PM – 10 PM

Come to the City Park and set up your lawn chairs and plan to stay a while. Let the kids play and enjoy time in the shade with your neighbors.

Get your Bicycles, Trikes, Scooters and Wagons decorated and ready for our first annual non-motorized Independence Parade to kick off our Star Spangled Jamboree event on July 3! We want to see your creations… share with us your pictures as you get your bikes and wagons ready for the parade by sharing and tagging the “City of Gunter” on your social media posts!

Event Schedule 
12:00 – 2:00 PM – BBQ Cook Off and Pie Bake Off
2:00 – 3:00 PM – Judging of BBQ Cook Off and Pie Contest
3:30 PM – Lineup for Parade
4:00 PM – Bike and Wagon Parade – Kickoff for Star Spangled Jamboree
4:30 – 9:00 PM – Star Spangled Jamboree
9:00 PM – Fireworks
